Through the lens of a multi-grade middle school science project, explore how project based learning and design thinking can bring science to life. Students used the tools of the makerspace and deep technology integration along side traditional maple production methods to explore the science, math and engineering behind maple syrup. Together we'll compare project based learning and design thinking, and identify when each is most appropriate.
