We already have great research supporting the transformative power of Making in the Library. While every Makerspace is unique, with each space created with particular staff and students in mind, they all share a passion for hands-on learning. Some teacher-librarians emphasize the arts, while others explore robotics, the environment, or technology. This session will focus on providing a variety of resources and tips for attendees -- especially those created by MakerEd gurus Diana Rendina & Laura Fleming -- with a particular emphasis on using these spaces as integral parts of units and lessons and on creating opportunities for student assessment in these spaces.
